Tiny Type Rating (TTR)

Ein Type-Rating ist eine spezielle Berechtigung, die einen Piloten oder eine Pilotin zum Führen eines bestimmten Luftfahrzeugmusters befähigt. Ein Luftfahrzeugmuster ist eine Gruppe von Luftfahrzeugen, die ähnliche Konstruktions- und Betriebseigenschaften haben. Zum Beispiel sind die Airbus A320-Familie, die Boeing 737-Familie oder die Cessna Citation XLS+ verschiedene Luftfahrzeugmuster.

Um ein Type-Rating zu erwerben, muss man eine Ausbildung bei einer zugelassenen Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) absolvieren, die aus theoretischen und praktischen Teilen besteht. Die theoretischen Teile umfassen die Kenntnis der Systeme, der Betriebsgrenzen, der Notverfahren und der Avionik des jeweiligen Luftfahrzeugmusters. Die praktischen Teile umfassen das Training im Flugsimulator und gegebenenfalls im realen Flugzeug.

Tiny Type Rating (TTR)

A type rating is a specific authorization that qualifies a pilot to operate a particular model of aircraft. An aircraft model refers to a group of aircraft that share similar design and operational characteristics. For example, the Airbus A320 family, the Boeing 737 family, or the Cessna Citation XLS+ are different aircraft models.

To obtain a type rating, one must undergo training at an approved Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO), which includes both theoretical and practical components. The theoretical parts cover the knowledge of the systems, operational limits, emergency procedures, and avionics of the respective aircraft model. The practical parts include training in a flight simulator and, if applicable, in a real aircraft.

  • Professional instruction from experienced, active 747 pilots.
  • Participation certificate.
